TellWut Review: The Good
TellWut is one of the few paid survey websites that compensate users for making their own surveys. They provide tips on how to make surveys that will gain approval, and list the point value of all activities on the FAQ page.
There are countless surveys to complete, though these are generally user-generated and relatively short. Some businesses also utilize TellWut for their short surveys.
This is one survey site for anyone who considers themselves to be a survey nut. With so many different genres of surveys to choose from, in addition to access to survey results, it will certainly keep the survey aficionado occupied for hours on end.
Rewards are in the form of points, which may be exchanged for a variety of gift cards, including Amazon gift cards. The occasional product may be redeemed as well. Based on the $10 Amazon gift card, 100 points is valued at 25 cents. Users receive 100 points for signing up, 100 points for completing the short profile, 25 points for referring a friend, 5-15 points for answering user-generated surveys, 10-20 points for creating approved surveys, and 15 points or more for completing business surveys.
TellWut Review: The Bad (ish)
In an effort to put a price on my time with this survey website, I timed the amount of time it took me to make 100 points, or 25 cents, completing user-generated surveys of 10 points each. I used the "Next Survey" button to move between surveys, and it took me 7 minutes total. If I did this for an hour, I would make less than $3 per hour.
I suppose the hourly average could be good or bad depending on your viewpoint, as a number of paid survey sites require you to spend 20 minutes on "qualifying" questions before determining you as unqualified for any compensation.
